Studies involving patients with a specific medical condition
St Petersburg · Pyatigorsk
Multicentre studies
We welcome phase II–III clinical studies involving patients with a specific medical condition at Cytokine network centres. We assess the protocol, suggest suitable centres and coordinate their work, from site preparation and recruitment through to study completion.
We review the protocol, eligibility criteria, visit schedule and equipment requirements. Together with investigators, we assess recruitment potential and team capacity. We complete the feasibility questionnaire and suggest suitable centres.
02
Preparation and start-up
Target – 7 days
We agree the budget and contract and prepare the documents, facilities, equipment and team. We coordinate submissions to the ethics committee and preparation for the site initiation visit.
03
Recruitment and participant support
Recruitment – 2–3 months
We coordinate recruitment through investigators and referral centres. A doctor checks eligibility against the protocol. A coordinator arranges participant visits and examinations.
04
Documentation and data
Throughout the study
We maintain site documentation and complete case report forms within our delegated responsibilities. We respond to data queries and report adverse events in accordance with applicable procedures.
05
Samples and monitoring
Throughout the study and at close-out
We arrange biological sample collection, processing, storage and shipment according to the protocol. We prepare documents and workspace for monitors, help resolve findings and support site close-out.
These timelines are planning estimates and are confirmed for each protocol. Start-up requires the necessary authorisations and approvals, with documents, study drug and centres ready. Ethics committee review follows the committee's own procedures. Recruitment timelines run from site activation. Participant follow-up follows the protocol; data management and monitoring run in parallel.

Team
Investigators, coordinators and site data specialists.
Study coordination
The project coordinator keeps in touch with the sponsor, CRO and centre staff, gathers information on study readiness, coordinates practical arrangements and follows up on agreed actions.
Investigators and site coordinators
Investigators assess patients against the protocol eligibility criteria, make medical decisions and oversee participant safety. Coordinators help plan visits and procedures, maintain documents and prepare for monitoring visits.
Documents and data
Staff maintain source documents, the investigator site file and case report forms within their delegated responsibilities. They check records for completeness and respond to data queries in a timely manner.
Preparing for the study
Before the study starts, we define staff responsibilities and the training needed for the protocol, procedures and Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Education, qualification and experience records are reviewed when the team is assembled.
Centres
Own and partner centres in the network.

Is your clinic ready for clinical research? In the Cytokine network we bring studies from sponsors and CROs and support you with documents, site start-up and protocol work. Tell us about your clinic and we will discuss which studies fit.
Send us a protocol synopsis or site feasibility questionnaire. For an initial discussion, please share the therapeutic area, phase, main eligibility criteria and planned timelines.
A single coordinator handles organisational matters. A study agreement is signed with each participating clinic.
Study budget
Our estimate covers screening, visits, procedures, team time, sample processing and documentation. Following our assessment, we provide a cost breakdown, scope of work and payment terms.
We agree arrangements for sharing confidential materials separately.
Let us review your protocol
We will assess recruitment potential, suggest centres and prepare a cost estimate.
